Why I love Martha...

After Martha's tough day terrorizing my mother (see my mother's blog), everyone was a little upset with her. My poor little Martha, though, always has a very special place in my heart. Maybe it's because she flew like an angel with me to Minnesota, or because she's always so happy to see me... I just love the little big girl.

The little things...

This basketball hoop was truly a labor of love to all those involved in its assembly. Though it's not the most stunning of pictures, little things like looking at this remind me of a crazy two day stretch where my mother, three of my brothers, and I did everything we could to try and put the hoop together.
Success never looked so netted.

Besides the basketball hoop, there are a few flowers blooming in our front yard that make me smile.
These little guys have started sprouting on their own and are growing in some bizarre, unexpected places. They're easily spotted when I get out of my car and remind me that growth can happen in some unlikely places.

Though this isn't the final little thing I'll ever post about, it is one of the ones that made me chuckle out loud. In our garage, we have two fishing poles that see about as much use as we see fresh caught fish in our house... My future husband will probably be shaken after seeing a dust ridden rod, but I have to laugh because it so perfectly sums up who Kelly is and who I am at the same time.

The birds and the trees...

Every year we have a bird nest in our mini tiki homes hanging on our porch. These are some images I snapped when I saw Momma bird and Daddy bird were out and about. I can't wait for the babies!!

Our trees are also beginning to get blooms, and here are some of the soon to be leaves and branches...

Martha's Debut

Whilst I was snapping photos of my bulb garden, Martha decided to play "queen of the table" and took over the photo shoot. Apologies for my shadow being in the picture, but I was trying to make sure Martha didn't break our glass table.

Spring Fever

These are some of the first flowers that I've received on a bulb garden I purchased from Bachman's in Apple Valley...
Here is an example of how much flowers grow overnight...
Here are some of the flowers popping up in the yard...
 I <3 spring!!!

Snap!shots

I wanted to create a space where I could post some pictures of life unfolding around me. I love flowers, so expect to see plenty of them. I have a crazy bulldog, Martha, so expect to see her antics. And, of course, I have a crazy family so expect to see plenty of them! Also, any short stories I write may make an appearance as they are snap!shots, too!
